Spring General Meeting

  • North Adelaide Community Centre 176 Tynte Street North Adelaide, SA, 5006 Australia (map)

Planning Policy Panel

Has the planning pendulum swung too far from individuals and community participation  and rights? Is planning and development balanced, or has it become one-sided or lopsided?

What can the planning system do better for  individuals and local communities?

What are the policy issues, opportunities and choices when looked at from the  perspective of a representative of this  electorate?

As individuals and as a community, we are continually faced with these issues, whether  the development is huge or moderate. Hence the theme for our Spring Meeting on Wednesday, 15 September 2021.

Looked at through the lens of a  representative of this state electorate:

What are the policy choices  for bringing individual and community rights into planning?

The Hon. Rachel Sanderson MP, our local  member for the State Electorate of Adelaide and Lucy Hood, Candidate (Labor) for Adelaide, have kindly agreed to attend and address  that theme from the perspective of being a representative of this electorate of Adelaide. Donna Ferretti (PhD), Urban and Regional  Planner, has a wealth of knowledge and  experience about planning and its  processes, and will assist with the previous  and current context of planning.

Some refreshments before and after. Covid meeting limits apply, so please book to reserve your seat/s.
